Here's a super cool guitar you don't see everyday! This Sherwood H48 is one vibe machine. It has a movable Silvertone single coil pickup, so you'll be able to dial in the tone needed for the song you're playing along to. Definitely not a feature you see very often. The pots and wiring are mounted on the pickguard. Additionally, it has an 1/8th" TS output jack. The original 1/8th" to 1/4" TS cable is included along with a 1/4" coupler, so you'll be able to easily plug into any modern amplifier.
It has a nut width of 1.66" with a U-shape neck, giving it a comfortable feel for anyone with small or larger sized hands. It has a 26" scale length (because of the pickup transport) and it weigh 4.5 pounds. It comes with a vintage Lifton case, which is also in very good condition. It has a laminate Mahogany top, back, and sides, giving it a classic old jazzy tone with an awesome look. The Checkerboard binding gives it a very unique aesthetic as well.
It's in good condition for its age. It has had a neck reset at some point (there's a shim visible under the fingerboard at the body) and the first 8 frets have been replaced with medium-jumbo sized frets. It appears that there was a partial crack at the headstock that was repaired at some point (pictured). It's very strong though, and shows no signs of further damage. Other than that, there are the typical surface-level scratches and dings that come with a guitar around 70 years old.
This thing truly is awesome and the pickup sounds great. Don't miss out! Not a common guitar and it's definitely a great one to add to the arsenal. We'll cover shipping. Thanks for looking.
