About This Listing

This is a very early hd-28 type dreadnaught from the career of a protege of the great Wayne Henderson.  This guitar; Jay Lichty #11 was commissioned by my Dad.  With simple appointments, huge tone and volume this guitar has opened up well.  It’s Adirondack spruce top is mature and sweet with a nice scooped eq across the scales and good responsiveness.  A nice Indian Rosewood fretboard and headstock give it low key aesthetic that compliment the mellow tones of this aged in and well played instrument.  A tone monster.  L.R. Baggs eclipse aura installed. There is a repaired crack in the top that was cleated by Lichty.  There are small scratches dings and chips but the guitar visually is decent and the structure is stable.  A player that costs $6500 to order from Jay Lichty guitars today with a long wait.  Grab it for $2k off with no wait!
