This guitar's tonally balanced poplar body feels great strapped to your shoulder, while its twin humbuckers yield an array of useful tones. Experience maximum tuning stability, thanks to the GRG131DX's hardtail bridge, while its fast-action New-Zealand-pine-topped maple neck supplies you with the kind of effortless playability that put Ibanez on the metal map. Aggressive-looking black hardware and cool sharktooth inlays complete the package. The GRG131DX is a value-packed electric guitar.
Loaded with a duo of Infinity R humbuckers, the Ibanez GRG131DX yields a range of impressive tones. The neck position humbucker is voiced for warmer, richer tone, while the bridge humbucker is a brilliant lead pickup: vibrant, yet snarling with an enhanced midrange output when you push it. If you're after maximum tonal tenacity, then the Ibanez GRG131DX will give your amplifier what you need.
The Ibanez GRG131DX has a smooth and fast-playing maple neck. This comfortable neck is capped by a New Zealand pine fingerboard with a super-flat 15.7" radius and 24 jumbo frets, giving you the agility to execute fast single-note runs with ease.
Dive-bombs can be fun, but many guitarists prefer the absolute stability of a hardtail bridge — legions of ace guitarists won't go anywhere near a whammy bar. If you're in this camp, then the Ibanez GRG131DX is your kind of axe. The GRG131DX's fixed bridge anchors the strings, giving you a rock-solid platform for your music.
