The largest part of this purchase needs to be considered at this section:
After much debate on an issue with the neck (can be seen in pictures) there was a modifcation done to this instrument to compensate for the issue with the neck.
On the 1st string on the final 6 frets the neck looks as if it bears a factory issue. If I had to guess the final pass on the neck left this portion with a 1/16th of an inch less material than the bass side. Thus the 1st string if fretted or bent at times would slip off the finger board.
We experimented using left handed saddled, graph tech saddles, but the issue was never cured. Ultimately my customer (current owner) opted to have the hardtail bridge remounted to compensate for this problem. The hardtail was mounted 3mm in favor of the bass side of the neck.
Although modding these guitar is up for vast speculation, this mod really brought the instrument back to life. It plays like a modern guitar without any of the oversights lost in the early days of manufacturing.
