Yamaha FG-450SA Dreadnought-Style Acoustic Guitar

  • All original, made sometime between 1989-1994 (the only years this model was made)
  • Dreadnought-style body
  • Solid spruce top
  • The headstock and fretboard are bound, something usually only found on much more expensive guitars.
  • Beautiful Multi-ply body binding & Multi-ring abalone rosette soundhole binding.
  • 20-fret bound rosewood fretboard (with mother-of-pearl “snowflake” inlays like Yamaha uses on their handmade L-series custom-shop guitars)
  • Rosewood bridge
  • Scalloped X-bracing (similar to a Martin HD-28)
  • This guitar has just had a complete professional set-up: restrung with .012s, frets polished, fretboard cleaned & oiled, neck adjusted, etc.
  • Functionally the guitar is perfect.  It plays & feels excellent (with nice low action), & it sounds fantastic (this model is known for its great tone).
  • Cosmetically it's in excellent condition other than a finish crack that runs from the backside of the sound hole to the back edge of the top of the body.  Photos #17-20 show the finish crack from the top, & photo #21 shows the same location from inside the body.  From these 5 photos you can see that the crack is only in the finish on the top.  The crack has been there since I bought it approximately 10 years ago, & hasn't changed at all in that time.  It is completely stable & doesn't effect the strength or functionality of the guitar in any way.  In addition to the finish crack on the top, there are only a couple signs of age, most notably some slight clouding of the finish only at the top & bottom of the back of the body (this is apparently very common with the 400-series Yamahas).
  • Comes in the heavy duty wood Hard Shell Case, which is in excellent condition (see photos).

Please look carefully at all of the photos and feel free to contact me with any questions before buying.  In addition to my 100% 5-star feedback rating here on reverb.com, I also have a 19 year, 100% positive feedback rating on eBay (from almost 900 ratings--user name "scedro").
