R. Low Vaughn Jazz Style Bass

This model I call the Alien Bass. The French polished finish while similar to lacquer is what is traditionally used on violins, classical guitars, pianos, etc. but has a cozier feel than lacquer, and a much more environmentally friendly process where as it's not sprayed and it's an all natural product.

It's a very comfortable and well balanced instrument, and the EMG PUPs and electronics have a nice wide range from a smooth jazz sound  to a nice punchy growl. They are the same set ups that Les Claypool has installed into his line of Pachyderm basses.
