Here’s another awesome addition to the vintage tube amplifiers in our shop; a 1962 Danelectro Model 273 Centurion Series E 15 Watt Tube Combo Amplifier at a new reduced price! This amp has been played and used extensively over its 60 year existence, but she still sounds great and gritty and is fully functional and set-up to provide years of enjoyment for its next owner/caretaker.

This amp was manufactured in the heyday of Danelectro before they were sold to to MCA. This amp still has the original speaker and original tubes.  We had this amp fully cleaned and repaired to make sure it was modernized and in safe, working order for your enjoyment.

This is a two-channel, vintage, 15-watt tube amp. The control panel includes a "highs" and "lows" and a volume control for each channel. Additionally there are speed and strength controls for the vibrato with two inputs for each channel and an input for a vibrato footswitch (not included) on the rear of the amp.

There is a jack for a vibrato/reverb footswitch that turns the effect on/off but there is no footswitch with this amp. There is an on/off power switch with glowing, red jewel cover on bottom back of the amp. Inside is the original CTS 12" deep basket speaker.  Serial number 10433.

Tube Assortment
  • 2 Westinghouse 12ax7 tubes
  • 2 RCA 6v6GT Tubes
  • 1 6av6 Tube
  • 1 CBS 6x5GT
NOTE: All tubes will be removed from the amp and packed/shipped separately to insure safe arrival. This is our standard packaging procedure.

Amp has undergone minimal but necessary electronic restoration.  All electronic repairs & upgrades were professionally performed by JHN Electronics, located at Barracks Trading Post in Maple Shade, NJ.

**SPECIAL NOTE: It is with a very heavy heart that we wish to share the news of the recent passing on
Dec 6, 2020, of our almost 12 year old red & white beagle, our beloved Ace. He was our mascot and namesake of this shop on Reverb.com. He gave us the initial inspiration to sign up with Reverb.com, primarily due to the name that we chose to use on this fantastic website. He was also the chief of security & official greeter for our bricks & mortar shop, always ready to engage with the customers; tail wagging, always happy & forever on the lookout for any ingestible treats that our customers wished to share with him as well as a nice butt or belly rub.
Ace is, and will continue to be, very sorely missed by all who knew him. Our shop will never be the same without his presence. But, his intense spirit and joie de vivre lives on, through our loving memories of him and also via this wonderful platform online. Love the heck out of ya, Acie!!

TO ALL PROSPECTIVE BUYERS:
If you are contemplating making us an offer on this or any of our other varied listings, please be fully prepared to follow through, pay for your item and consummate the deal if your offer is accepted by us. We have been hit hard lately by offers from buyers with little or even zero feedback or inexperience on this selling platform. These buyers never paid for their purchases.  Obviously, we would rather this never happen again, but sometimes it will occur no matter what our wishes are. Thank you for reading this far and for your patience and understanding as well. And, in the immortal lyrics from an early Steve Miller Band tune, “You gotta keep on keepin on”!
