Roland Ready! Super Rare!

You are looking at a really cool rare guitar. This is a 1985 Gibson Explorer with a factory "Roland Ready" synthesizer system. I do not have the synthesizer. This posting is for the guitar and the factory hard shell case.

This is a very rare model that was produced at the Gibson Custom Shop. There were only 25 of these ever built. This is a one owner guitar. The former owner never used the Roland synthesizer and during the course of several moves it became lost. The synthesizer are readily available used on ebay.

I have only seen two of these Explorers ever. This is a true Gibson Explorer Custom Shop guitar. The quality and attention to detail on this is quite evident. The neck is perfectly straight, action is just perfect. A very easy to play guitar. Genuine PAF pickups. They sound sooooooo good!

But how does it sound? This Explorer SCREAMS! Has that classic Gibson low end sound along with crystal clear highs. A big hunk of wood. Sustains forever. Pro level guitar. A really performing guitar that just keeps on giving. The more you throw at her the more she gives.

Serial Number: #82055562

Weight: 9.35 lbs.

Best of both worlds. A daily player that is a very rare vintage guitar. This is a guitar that you can play and enjoy, that will continue to appreciate in value. If you ever sell this guitar you will not lose any money.

Complete Package with Gibson Hard Shell Case Included!

Cosmetics: Good Condition. Keep in mind that this is a 30 year old vintage guitar, that has been played. The most notable issue is that there are some scratches just behind the stop bar. It appears that maybe there was a sticker that was removed and was scraped off. (See picture #1, use zoom). There are some finish cracks and lacquer checking all over the body and neck, headstock of the Explorer. Wherever there is wood you will the lacquer checking and long finish cracks. NOT structural. Cosmetic only. A few light scratches on the body. (See picture #1). Some minor belt buckle rash and very light scratches on the back. (See picture #4). Neck, Fretboard and Headstock in great shape. This Explorer is a white guitar that has faded to a crème or light yellow color. There are a few wear marks from your right arm resting on the body that has kept the finish white. Other than that, it has faded to a very consistent light yellow. The Original Gibson Hard Shell Case in great condition. There is some very cool artwork on the case that says "Spider" Band name? Not sure. Done tastefully. This Explorer is about as authentic as they come. The wear is what gives it it's charm. Dripping with "Mojo" It is used. Not perfect. Look at the pictures closely. They will tell the story.
