Otari MX-5050 MKIII-2 1/4" 2 Track Reel To Reel Professionally Restored

Selling this 1/4" 2 Track Machine. It was professionally restored by Adrian at Adrian Pro Audio in Canoga Park, California. I had two of these machines at one point and brought them both to Adrian for him to put together a Frankenstein machine of the best components of both machines, which is this one.  It will be very difficult to find one of these in as good shape as this one.  Adrian has been servicing tape machines for over 40 years and was working at Tascam when they were making new machines. He does great work. I have had a number of machines restored by him with no complaints. They have all worked flawlessly for extended periods of time and have sounded great. This machine is biased to ATR tape, which can still be bought new and sounds great. I bought this machine for $500. It was property of CBS Studios and used to document and playback old recordings at that studio. I paid $500 to have it professionally restored and I paid $300 for the rolling cart. I bought this machine with the intention of doing my album 100% analog, but due to various factors have decided to track analog and mix and master in Pro Tools.  I will have it professionally packed and shipped.  It is very heavy and will be expensive to ship.
