Hamer Chaparral 1987-1989 Black

Hamer Chaparral Custom, heavily modded. 24 3/4 scale all mahogany super strat. I have never seen a Chaparral with binding, I don’t know if it was custom ordered or if someone put it on later. They routed the pickup area and filled it back in. It was rerouted and for a single humbucker. The bridge humbucker position was moved forward approximately 1/2 inch. The guitar plays very nice though and the sound has a little less bite due to the pickup position. I installed a Duncan Distortion which is a hot somewhat bright pickup to equal it out a bit. Very dark tight grain ebony fingerboard with boomerang inlays. The Floyd Rose is an original with brass block and is in great condition. The finish is lacquer and the front has a lot of crazing and checking. However the rest of the guitar does not.
The frets are good and the action is low. It comes with a Gibson gig bag. One pot is a little scratchy.
