About This Listing

Super versatile overdrive with soft clipping, hard clipping, and no clipping modes. The shape control (bottom right) is pretty unique— it controls low-midrange content and is interactive with the stacks (tone) and gain controls. Caroline Co. says the circuit isn’t based off anything, but the soft clipping section does have a mid hump that can be sculpted with the aforementioned shape knob to give you convincing screamer or klon sounds. My favorite thing to do with this pedal is actually to set the gain pretty low and shape pretty high while on the hard clipping diodes— it gives you a nice warm fuzzy drive. Selling bc I’m downsizing my drive section and I’ve got an eqd plumes and an ss/bs mini that can cover a ton of ground together. I’ve toured and recorded with this guy so it’s got a bit of wear but works just fine. One thing about it is that the footswitch is NOT the modern soft touch switch you’d find on newer eqd, walrus, obne, jhs, etc. pedals. It makes a bit of a click when you turn it on, so be aware of that. Anyways— I’m not sure Caroline makes these things any more so if you’re interested in a one stop drive snag this guy while ya can! Feel free to arrange a local pick up from me if you’re in the greater Philly area
