Top amplifier, Fender Dual Showman Reverb, 100 W, Fender Dual Showman Reverb, from 1976, in a slightly alternative wooden cabinet, but it plays absolutely fantastic. (Reverb 1-1 as Twin Reverb top, same amplifier circuit as in quad Reverb and Super Six).
It has been given a complete makeover in the tube amplifier workshop, all tubes both preamp tube and output tube have been replaced, as well as all electrolytes, capacitors, as well as some resistors. Preamplifier tubes and phase converter tubes have been replaced with TAD 7025 and TAD 12AT7 tubes. GT 6L6GC power tubes have been replaced with a set of Quad matched GT 6L6GC tubes. All tubes have been tested and measured in Amplitrex-1000 professional tube tester. Bias current is adjusted to 32.5 mA. which gives the sound that suits me, which also extends the life of the outlet pipes, but can be changed as desired if you want to drive them a little harder.
The amplifier is tested with a sweep generator and oscilloscope for a period of 4 hours with 8 ohm load. The test is performed with 230 VAC and measured the power consumption continuously. Input has been a sine sweep from 50-16K Hz, and finally a live test with a Fender Stratocaster. I offer a 3 month warranty on faults that occur during normal use. Means that no beer, coffee, water may be poured in and it will not be thrown around.
