Roger Giffin is a master luthier whose regular clients included Eric Clapton, Mark Knopfler, Andy Summers and David Gilmour when he was in London. He came to the US after designing the Steinberger "M" Series guitars and then became the head of Gibson's West Coast Custom Shop along with Gene Baker; there he worked with Eddie Van Halen, Joe Walsh, Peter Frampton, Jimmy Page and Malcolm Young, among many others. After the Gibson operation was moved the Nashville, he struck out on his own, building his own handmade instruments in California. Now located in Portland, OR, Roger Giffin individually crafts these beautiful, high-end boutique guitars.
