The Gold Tone LS-8 evokes the Oahu Tonemaster, one of the most revered lap steels of the 1950s. Our version is so close to the original that owners of Oahu instruments buy LS-8 pickups and hardware from us for use in the restoration of their prized guitars. The LS-8 is set up for F6 tuning (DFACDFAC) but other tunings can be accommodated by installing strings that are gauged for those tunings.
