This is a guitar I purchased from the Instrument Store back in 2011. It has never been gigged, and in EXCELLENT condition.
Skunk stripe, Alder body.
It has been almost completely upgraded with the following:
Custom ALNICO 5 pups, with cloth push-back wiring wound by Chris Hernandez at Wound4Sound!
Jensen PIO capacitor!
Oak Grigsby switch!
Full size CTS pots!
Fender bent-steel saddles!
Fender knobs and switch tip
WD Music 16:1 tuning machines!
Frets leveled and crowned and custom wiring by John Oliveira at Big John's Guitars in Denton Texas!
Middle tone knob is wired as a "blender pot" to go from stock strat to series in positions 1 and 5!
Bridge pup is wired to tone knob as well!
This is an incredibly versatile guitar, and I hate to part with it, but I have too many, and it doesn't get enough love. As close to a MIM strat as you can get, and much better in some respects. It's the best sounding strat I've ever played, hands down. NOTE: I have blocked the tremolo in this guitar, but you can remove the block and set the tremolo up however you want.
