This desk is handmade and was used by me for a few years. I need a larger desk now, so I built a new one.
Obviously this is completely handmade, and obviously it doesn’t come with any of the gear shown in the first photo. Desk only.
Output platform style build, with the two 3u rackmount bays, also an area in the middle to feed cords and whatnot.
I was able to fit a 27” iMac along with two 5” speakers up top. A little snug, but it works. I think this is kind of a perfect size that isn’t too big, but still kind of fits a lot of stuff.
It also has a slide out keyboard tray with nice clearance. I have had no problem fitting all kinds of gear in the tray over the years: Drumbrute, Digitakt, Microbrute, tons of different pedals...
The surface has a few scratches and things, but is in good shape. It is birch plywood with solid oak around all the edges. Very comfortable rounded edges. It is finished with an oil based poly and buffed to a nice, kind of guitar body style / piano style gloss finish. The legs are painted white. Legs are made from solid pine.
The lip of the top monitor level covers up a bit of the rackmount area. So if you want to load a 3u unit in, you have to loosen up the screws a bit on the top. Or if you are loading separate 1u pieces in, you can load from the bottom then slide them up. See the first pic or let me know if this doesn’t make sense.
On the legs in the back there is also a tray that holds a couple power strips.
Very easy to take apart and assemble: the legs and top are two separate pieces held together with 4 screws.
Dimensions are as follows: Main desk size: 45.5” wide x 31.5” deep Platform for computer / monitors is 10.5” deep Height of desk is 29.5” Keyboard tray: 31” wide x 21” deep
Local pickup only, I am in Maplewood New Jersey, easy drive from the NYC area. I also have a funky side table / Eurorack modular stand I am listing.
