As the story goes: Near the waterfront in Oakland CA. , there was an open field with various art sculptures and about 7 discarded upright pianos , called “The 5th Ave. Teahouse” - the pianos and some of the sculptures were cleared away at one point , and most of the upright piano wood was about to be tossed into a large bonfire ( ! ) - but were salvaged just in time by Dinette -

One of only a few made from the pianos.
