About This Listing

What makes a punk rock guitar? Straight in function. Soundwise a full board. And an individual look - no smooth industrial design. Exactly these points unites the QNSTANG. A Fender Squier Affinity Jazzmaster serves as the basis. A very tight, simple guitar. Two humbuckers, volume and tone controls, toggle switch. The ideal punk rock machine. Ingeniously simple and easy to play. And the two humbuckers literally scream for distortion. Since many years I am a fan of Fender and Squier offset and student guitars. A niche where very cool guitars can be found away from the mainstream: The Jazzmaster, Jaguar, Mustang, Duo-Sonic, Musicmaster, Bronco, Lead, Bullet, Jag-Stang, Cyclone, Jagmaster, Super-Sonic, Venus.... For this reason alone, the Squier Jazzmaster came to mind as the ideal starting point for the QNSTANG. Because cool, unconventional and casual looks are just as important as good sound, easy handling, robust and cheap to buy. An already cool guitar becomes a unique piece that stands out from the crowd through my design. So if you're looking for a very special guitar that immediately identifies you as a punk rocker and gives you a unique tool, you've come to the right place. Inspired by punk rock guitars like Joe Strummer's Tele, Billie Joe Armstrong's Strat or Thurston Moore's Jazzmaster, this Jazzmaster has been turned into a street art stencil guitar - the QNSTANG NO CONTROL. The artwork was covered with a clear coat to be a bit protected from the adversities of punk rock life (but not too much). Neither the artwork nor the clear coat has been polished. So it shows traces of manual work with the spray can: blobs and not accurate stencil transitions. And that's exactly how it's supposed to be. If you want a smooth licked guitar, you are wrong here! The guitar will get traces through your playing, which will turn a unique guitar into YOUR unique guitar. Aging by Using! The NO CONTROL features various hand cut stencils: heart with rays, skullcat, NO CONTROL, star, month of manufacture and on the back FCK NZS and Trust in Punk. All created by hand. There is no well - you either like it or you don't!
