This is an awesome looking, awesome playing and awesome sounding Electra X280 'Workingman' guitar. Made in the Matsumoku factory, this is yet another rare Japanese classic guitar from the the early 80's.
According to the Electra literature they were made between 1981 and 1984. They were designed to be a 'working mans' guitar that was quality built but with no frills making them affordable for the working musician. They've become a bit of a cult classic and are pretty hard to find these days.
It has a bolt on 3-piece maple neck, Ash body, rosewood fretboard and a really nice natural/walnut stain finish that highlights the woodgrain. It has chrome hardware and quality tuners and the two MMK45 Humbuckers really wail when you crank it, but are nice and clear at low volumes - really responsive pickups.
If you are in the hood, you should definitely drop by and plug this one in.
