About This Listing

Up for sale is an upgraded Juno 106 in remarkable condition. Save for a few, small blemishes (shown in photos), I would've classified it as mint. It's not museum-quality, but it's damn close.

First, my recent work on this beast:
  • All new voice chips! This synth boasts a full compliment of Six AR80017A chips from Analogue Renaissance.
  • The voice chip board has been refitted with headers, so the 6 chips are now hot-swappable for any future troubleshooting. No more soldering voice chips.
  • All 34 tactile buttons have been replaced with new ones. These won't fail anytime soon.
  • New dust covers from Bell Tone Synth Works to replace the old, deteriorating rubber pieces.
  • Interior and Keybed are cleaned. All faders and pots are cleaned and lubricated.
  • All push-button covers have had a peroxide bath to revitalize their color and sheen. The discoloration is still visible, but greatly reduced.
  • Custom wood end-panels are included. I made these 15 years ago because I liked the wood look over the plastic. I'll include them if you wish to swap to these. Longer M3 screws are included.
  • The memory battery and 3 Wave Generator chips are still going strong with no issues, so I let them be. I can arrange to upgrade/replace these with modern components for a fee if you wish. If you want to pay for a Kiwi upgrade, I can do that too.
Now what's wrong with it? Functionally, nothing at all. Every component works at 100%. Cosmetically, there are a few blemishes:
  • A 25+ year old sale sticker on the back next to the serial number.
  • Minor scratches on right end panel (picture 12)
  • Rubbing marks on edge above audio outputs (picture 10)
  • Outer ring from headphone jack is missing (no functional change)
  • Pressure pattern on end panels (2nd picture)
