- Observations: This is a one of a kind Erlewine Automatic guitar with a stunning one-piece quilted maple top with one piece Honduran Mahogany body and Honduran Mahogany neck. The headstock has a brass tone plate installed on the back to improve resonance and sustain. Body has some minor surface scratches. Frets are in very good condition, no divots or dents.

I hand made this Automatic in the late 1980's, and it is the only one of its kind with the unique one piece quilted maple top. It is very rare to find a guitar with the quilt running vertically, as most have only a horizontal quilt or flame. The guitar also has a brass tone plate on the back of the peghead, which was unique to the time period it was made.
