Up for sale, a 1980’s B.C. Rich Warlock in excellent condition and in perfect working order. A genuine USA-made model, this Warlock flaunts a menacingly shaped body finished in a particularly rare brilliant gloss Yellow, with a one-piece maple neck, thick slab rosewood fretboard, and pair of DiMarzio Super Distortion humbuckers. Engineered for high gain, the pickups offer a range of roaring tonalities with ample output, midrange push, and a lightly compressed response that is perfect for chunky rhythm playing and fat lead work. This Warlock weighs 8lbs 5oz and has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, accurate intonation, and fast action.
The maple neck has a slender, fast-feeling C shaped profile with prominent shoulders and lightly rolled fretboard edges, measuring .775” deep at the 1st fret and .870” at the 12th. The thick slab rosewood fretboard features dot inlay and stock jumbo fretwire. The frets have good height and meat, with light wear exclusively beneath the plain strings on the crowns of frets 1-12. The guitar plays well in all registers up the straight neck with an ideally adjusted and responsive truss rod. The scale length is a full 25 1/2“, and the locking nut measures 1 5/8“ in width. The six-on-a-side headstock features black mini Grover Rotomatic tuners that turn smoothly.
On the body, the electronics function as intended, with a Master Tone knob, individual Volume controls for each pickup, and a three-way pickup selector toggle governing the pair of humbuckers. The black hardware is clean, with faint patina mostly relegated to the "LA, California, USA"-embossed neck plate. The Floyd Rose Licensed vibrato works smoothly for deep dives and broad, expressive bends, complete with the original arm. Cosmetic wear on the bold gloss Yellow finish includes finish a few minor finish chips on the body parameter, while the neck sports an exceptionally smooth satin finish.
