  • Please ask questions first and definitely do not hesitate to ask for more pictures if you are not sure about the imperfections or about anything else about this guitar or even about the HS Case ... etc.
The main issue(s) that this guitar has are:

The RIGHT SIDE of the BODY-- the mid to lower areas of the right side -- (meaning the the mahogany side/ not the spruce to side) has some visible imperfections. Cracks on the surface, dings, areas where the wood is pushed in (like big nicks + cracks on the top surface). SEE pictures # 18, # 19, # 20, and # 21. These imperfections are not all the way through. The sides are solid mahogany wood.

It has some other minor imperfection too (here & there) -- which are description below.  Also  - you can see most of these imperfection in the pictures.
-----
Normally this guitar is NOT paired with a HS Case. But I am pairing it with a lightly used non Seagull HS Case (it is a very sturdy case that is in great shape).  Please let me know if you do not want the case and prefer a medium padded gig bag  -- or if you just want to buy the guitar by itself. It will be securely packed.

  • The asking price of $424.99 includes the HS Case. (shipping / packaging cost additional).
  • NOTE:
  • The selling price will be $100 less if you do not want the HS Case. Since the weight will be lower without the HS Case --  the s/p will be lower (more so for international location) For the USA locations it depends on where you live.  If you message me I can let you know the shipping / packaging prices to your city or country.
  • The selling price will be $50 less if you prefer to take a new thick padded NON Seagull gig bag instead of the HS Case.  Actually it is a Taylor GIG BAG and it fit this guitar perfectly.  The last picture shows this gig bag (with the guitar in it. This gig bag is shown just as a REFERENCE (in case you prefer the gig bag instead of the HS Case). The gig bag is NOT include along with the HS Case.
  • If you decide to take the gig bag instead of the HS Case - message me to get the shipping / packaging cost pries -- For international location it will be lower. And for some USA location it will be lower.
--------
  • I am NOT an authorized Seagull / Godin dealer - therefore there is NO warranty.
  • The SCRATCH and DENT Imperfections that this guitar happened at the store that I purchased this piece from (which was Sam Ash).
  • The guitar is still very playable. At the moment --  no need for any serious repair  - or in a way no repair at all (as long as you do not tamper and touch this area). If you leave this area alone and do not aggressive play on this guitar - you will be fine. Also  --since this is a solid wood guitar -  make sure that you properly store and humidify the guitar.
  • FINAL SALE / SELLING AS IS / NO RETURNS.
  • Please as questions first.
  • Also do not hesitate to ask for more pictures (I have many more pictures of this guitar and he HC Case on hand and I do not mind taking pictures of requested specific areas).
Specific Specifications are at the end of the description.
  • MADE IN CANADA
  • Serial Number: 040421000294

  • year:  2016   [on April 15, 2021 - I contacted Godin (who owns the Seagull brand / company) and the customer service person told me the year).
NOTE:  You cannot figure out the date for the serial number.

WEBSITE about Seagull / Godin serial numbers):
sixstringacoustic.com/seagull-guitar-serial-numbers-when-was-your-seagull-guitar-built

Information from the above website:

2008 to present:
In late 2007 Godin switched to a 12 digit serial number.
The present system does not actually tell you anything about when the guitar was built, which is a bit of a pain, as working out the year of your guitar is often the only thing people want to know from their serial number.
----
Breaking down the serial number (of the guitar for sale inthis listing):
040421 model number
0 means NOT a factory second
00294 The last 5 digits represent the number of that particular model built since switching to 12 digit serial numbers.
So, overall from our example serial number we can tell that the serial number belongs to a Maritime CH SWS QIT ORIGINAL -- that is NOT a factory second -- and that it was the 294th Original to be shipped since Godin began their 12 digit serial number system.

----
Information about the CONDITION of this Acoustic Electric Guitar:

The RIGHT SIDE  of the BODY-- the mid to lower areas of the right side  -- (meaning the the mahogany side/ not the spruce to side) has some visible imperfections. Cracks on the surface, dings, areas where the wood is pushed in (like big nicks + cracks on the top surface). SEE pictures # 18, 319, # 20, and # 21. These imperfections are not all the way through.  The sides are solid mahogany wood.

The BOTTOM SIDE of the BODY-- specifically the middle area of the bottom side  near the strap button / jack-- (meaning the the mahogany side/ not the spruce to side) has a few very small nd tiny dings / nicks.   SEE pictures # 12.

The BACK SIDE of the BODY -- the mid upper center area (to the left of the herringbone inlay design) has a small not to light / not too deep visible impression (nick / ding). You can kind of see tis ding in picture # 11. I will take a better picture of this area soon.

The BACK of the NECK - very clean with the exception a tiny ding on the center area. Not visible in the picture of the back of the neck. I will let you know specifically where soon. I will take another picture soon that shows this ding better.

The TOP SIDE of the HEADSTOCK (meaning the short top side area on the very top of the guitar) has a few tiny and very small dings (see picture # 16).

** The TOP SIDE of the BODY (the SPRUCE TOP) is fine.
**  The other areas of the SIDE of the BODY (MAHOGANY SIDES) that I did not comment on above are fine.
** The frets are fine. If you really examine them you might see a few extremely light surface markings.
** The fret edges are fine (NOT sharp . NOT sticking out)
** The fret board is fine.
** The left and right sides of the headstock are fine.
** The main areas of the front side of the headstock are fine.   It has a little very light surface cloudiness. And the edge have a few very tiny nicks (not really visible- but you can feel the nicks when you go over the edges with your finger.
** The tuners (machine heads) are fine.  There is some surface cloudiness which I will clean off.  If you closely examine them - you might see a few very minor / tiny surface imperfections.
** The is NO pickguard on this guitar. This is the way it was made / designed.
** The bridge is fine / clean.
** The nut is fine.
**  The electronics function properly.
**  The button strap button / jack - is fine- it just has some surface cloudiness and maybe a few tiny surface nicks.

The strings are very clean.  The strings are not brand new  -  but they do not look played on. They still look shiny and sound fine (not dull). Not sure what gauge they are. Most likely they are light gauge.

NOTE:  This  guitar has been properly humidified.

Information about the CONDITION and make up of the Hardshell Case: There is no specific brand name or indication of a brand on the Hardshell Case. I believe that it is made by the company KASES.  It is a very sturdy very protective, very strong solid wood case.  The outer covering is black tolex. The inside has a thick padding and nice plush material. The inside is very clean. But since it did have a guitar in it  -- it has some impressions (of the strings, etc) on the under-side of the lid.  The inside of the case smells fine. No unpleasant odor.  This case fits the guitar perfectly. No wiggle room and it is the correct depth for this guitar's body size / shape. The latches & hardware are gold color and they work fine,. Overall the latch and hardware are clean  - but they do have minor cosmetic imperfections.  The handle is fine - just light wear.  The exterior tolex was polishes with black shoe polish a few months ago  (the polish is complete dry). So the exterior tolex is a nice deep black shiny color / appearance. Since this is a pre-own Hardshell Case it exterior tolex has some nick s (mostly in the edges) and it has some not too light  / not too deep scratches / scuffs here & there. And there are a few white markings.  Also the outer body area of the lid has a curve - which looks cool and this design protects the body area better - since it is not flat / straight.  You can see this design in the fist picture and in picture # 22. Feel free to ask for more pictures of he HS Case.  NOTE: the inside of this HS case has been properly humidified.

I took several pictures of this guitar, a few pictures of the HS Case, and few pictures show the guitar in the Hardshell Case.

NOTE: There maybe a few very minor imperfections (on the guitar) and a few not too serious imperfections (on the HS Case) that I over looked. There are a few very minor imperfections on the guitar and a couple of imperfections on the HS Case that can be seen in person that do not show up in the pictures. And there are glares and reflections from the camera's flash and from the shiny finish that might look like imperfections. . Also you can see some other dust specks that are not visible in person.

  • USA buyers please contact me before buying the item for a more accurate s/p cost.
  • In most situations - the shipping carrier that I will be using for USA (states and territories) is USPS. Shipping method choices are Priority Mail or USPS Parcel Select Ground. But if I can get a better s/p cost another carrier - such as UPS or FedEx - then I will.
  • Since the s/p cost varies  (depending on location) - I put a general cost of $154 (which is the price for me shipping it to California, Oregon, Hawaii, Alaska, and to US territories like Puerto Rico using USPS Priority Mail). But for many USA locations the s/p cost will be lower than $160. EXAMPLE - the s/p cost to ship to NJ / NY will cost about $60 / $69. Northwest areas of NY will be about $75. Therefore I can edit this s/p cost.
  • The shipping  / packaging cost is based on the location it is going to, the weight, and size of the package  --  plus the packaging cost.
  • I live in New Jersey - therefore - please keep in mind that the s/p cost for a coast to coast shipment will be high for USPS Priority Mail - therefore I recommend that you use USPS Parcel Select.
  • Will Ship World Wide (with USPS Priority Mail International).   If you do not see a shipping /packaging cost for your location (or if it is $225 USD) - please contact me me for the shipping / packaging cost - it might be lower.

Great Tone and Comfortable Playability

The Seagull Maritime SWS (Solid Wood Series) A/E (acoustic / electric) takes smaller-body guitar design to new heights. The combination of solid spruce and mahogany delivers a well-rounded, warm tone that's great for any situation. It makes a great recording instrument, thanks to its even midrange and balanced high and low end. Its pressure-tested, compound curved top gives you increased stability, resonance, and projection. The Maritime SWS A/E comes with Q1T electronics for stellar amplified tone. The innovative design and construction of the Seagull Maritime SWS A/E offer a smooth-playing, handcrafted instrument at a price working musicians can afford.

Innovative neck construction and mounting deliver killer playability and tone

The attention to detail given to each Seagull shows in its looks, playability, and tone. Seagull has also taken extra care to ensure that the Maritime SWS A/E’s neck helps to create an amazing guitar experience. An acoustic guitar's neck is more than just a fretboard used for playing; it also creates the guitar's tone. Seagull's integrated set neck gives your guitar the sound you want along with the stability you need in a performing guitar. This system provides stable and consistent action that also reduces warping and twisting. Thanks to this integrated system, the SWS's neck pitch is perfectly set. If it's too far forward, the instrument will sound muddy, and if it's too far back, the guitar will sound tinny. Seagull's design assures optimized sound and playability with these and other innovations found in the entire Seagull line.

Super-comfortable concert hall (000) body style

Arguably Seagull's most comfortable body style, the Seagull Maritime SWS A/E’s concert hall shape is the perfect fit for anyone looking for a more manageable instrument. It would perform equally as well for both adults and children and offers easy portability. Guitarists love the Seagull Maritime SWS A/E for its playability and tone.

Seagull's quest for tone

Robert Godin, the owner of Seagull Guitars, has never been satisfied with "good enough." His tireless search for a better guitar has created quite a few innovations that go into every guitar model that Seagull makes. Every Maritime SWS A/E’s satin top is pressure tested for rigidity and stiffness to ensure maximum harmonic vibration. The unique compound curved top adds structural integrity to the guitar and allows for thinner bracing. The Maritime SWS A/E will give you years of great performance.

Seagull Maritime SWS A/E Acoustic-electric Guitar Features:

  • Pressure-tested solid spruce top offers superior tone, projection, and response
  • Solid mahogany back and sides deliver warm, full acoustic guitar sounds
  •  Q1T electronics side-mounted preamp / EQ
  • Integrated set neck offers tuning and playing stability and eliminates twisting and warping
  • Tapered headstock gives you a straighter string pull, better tuning, and less stress, especially when using altered tunings
  • TUSQ (by Graphtech) nut and compensated saddle offer a sound similar to bone but with more harmonics
  • Dual-function truss rods assure the perfect neck alignment and relief
