About This Listing

Here is an almost 100% original late 1950s Kay Barney Kessel model. This smaller-bodied version of the Kessels comes complete with the Kelvinator headstock, "Kleenex Box" pickups (similar characteristic to P90s), block inlays and Waverly butterbean tuners. The only non-original elements are the added bone saddle and strap button. The guitar comes with its original hardshell case and includes some of the original hangtags. This far-out design looks both futuristic, yet nostalgic to the time period. An all-original Kay Barney Kessel in this shape is not seen around often, it's great for any collector. The tone of the pickups is killer; players will love this guitar, too.
