Brilliant, original vintage Epiphone professional outfit, model ea7p, complete with matching amplifier and umbilical system. The professional was one of Epiphone/ Gibson’s rarest offerings, with only a few hundred ever produced, and this, the big boy 15” amplifier model was the rarest of the lot.
For the uninitiated, the ea7p “outfit” controls the amplifier’s volume, reverb and tremolo rate and depth via the guitar’s onboard switching system, so that the performer can modulate these effects while playing. The guitar also has an Al Caiola/ es345 varitone switching system/ tone matrix, as well as the standard vol/tone controls. The guitar has a standard 1/4 out with vol/ tone for use with normal amplifiers, too, as does the amplifier have a 1/4” input for use with other guitars/ inputs.
This system is in perfect working order, and the amplifier has just been recapped, fully serviced, and retubed, and fitted with a powerful Jensen c15. The guitar plays beautifully, as any early 60’s es335/ riviera/ Sheraton will, (just not $20k)! The neck is a joy, and the original PAF patent sticker mini humbucker sounds heavenly. Grrrrrrr.
Cosmetically, she’s very vintage, with lots of exterior finish and play wear, all included at no extra charge. No cracks, breaks, or funny business. Enjoy!
