Very cool D 25 ina finish I'd never seen bbefore. It is a factory finish Black Sparkle. You see this type of finish on some Bluesbirds and other Guild instruments but it's the first time I've seen it on an acoustic. It is the factyory applied finish done in the Westerly R.I. facility.
The guitar itself is in great shape with no cracks, breaks, separations or ugly cosmetic challenges. If you're a gigging musician this one would be a lot of fun and would really add to your show when the stage lights hit the guitar in a certain way. The finish may not be for everyone but anyone looking for a vintage D 25 in great shape that is unique and seldom ever seen would be quite pleased with this one.
Here's some info for you: -Made in the Westerly, R.I. facilityu -Dreadnaught body style -Solid Sitka Spruce top -Solid Mahogany sides -Arched Mahogany back to give it that legendary Guild thump and growl -6 per side chrome tuning machines -Rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays-14/20 fret configuration -Rosewood bridge tight to the body -Perfect neck angle -Low E string height is between 3/32" and 7/64" with plenty of saddle height remaining if you'd like the action lower. Plays and sounds great as is though -No electronics -Ships in a HSC. It's not branded Guild but looks very much like many other Guild cases for my other guitars. The handle and latches all work as they should.
