Guild D-55 has to be one of the best bluegrass guitars available. It is know for the great deep sound, and play ability. This guitar was made as one of a set of 50, in 2003, with Brazilian stock they had from the 1950s (pre-embargo) in their warehouse since they started making guitars. If you want to have a fine guitar like a Guild D-55, matched with the awesome sound of Brazilian Rosewood, then this is the guitar for you. It is immaculate, except for a small surface defect. There is a 2 mm defect in the top plate of the guitar, affecting only the finish, which can easily be repaired, if one chooses. (It was caused by a careless guest in the showroom before I purchased it.) Otherwise, I would list this guitar as Excellent. I installed an endpin, that came with the LR Baggs electronic pickup. There is very little wear on the fret wires. It comes in the original hard shell case. This is a limited edition, #31 of 50.
