This useful line mixer is packaged in a 2U rack case whose fascia manages to accommodate an incredible 72 controls. It is a 16-channel mixer with the ability to split itself into two separate stereo mixers when required. It accepts line-level only signals and its input sensitivity suits it to a variety of applications, from basic keyboard sub-mixer to dedicated effects return mixer. It also offers a neat way of generating extra auxiliary sends, running the unit in parallel with the input channels of another desk, though it nominally has four auxiliaries of its own. Auxs 1 and 2 feature only on the first eight channels, and 3 and 4 only on channels 9-16.

The 2016 is simple in concept, yet provides flexibility in operation, is quiet with generous headroom, and interfaces happily in almost any situation.
