Cicognani Dragon Overdrive

Giulielmo Cicognani is an, in Italy well known tube-amp-builder from Italy. Outside of Italy he seems to be rather unknown, nevertheless he has built excellent (mostly low watt studio) tube amps for decades, but also effects pedals.

Until a few years ago, the devices were sold under the name Cicognani. Meanwhile the gear is sold under the brand gurus (amps), and are also used from musicians like Phil Campbell, Adrian Belew or Steve Vai.

A few years ago, there were two tube pedals offered under Cicognani, namely the Dragon Distortion and the Dragon Overdrive which I offer here.

The device is quite large, about 20 x 15,5 x 7,5 cm, so not exactly pedal-space saving, on the other hand it delivers tones, which you will not usually get from some smaller, more compact units.

Stainless steel case, tube-protection-cover, easily to remove with 2 screws only.
