Reproduction Gibson Trini Lopez Complete Tailpiece Badge Assembly

How many Vintage Gibson Trini Lopez Standard or Custom guitars are missing the plaque? I know mine was. And judging from all the guitars I see for sale with missing badges I'll bet yours is too. If you've ever looked, finding an original is nearly impossible, or hundreds of dollars. That's why I made these:

Brand New , Limited Run, Reproduction Vintage Gibson Trini Lopez Name Badge AND Wooden Shield

Made the exact same way as the originals in the (almost) exact same materials Gibson used back in the 60's. Hand finished and quality controlled for perfection. I went to great lengths to replicate these to look exactly as the originals. I'd bet real money that you cannot tell the difference between mine and a vintage one. In fact the last picture is a comparison of a real set to my reproductions.

As a seller or dealer, Having the badge is often the difference between your Trini selling quickly and for your asking price, vs languishing for months and you selling at a significant discount.

These fit perfectly on the original trapeze tailpieces without any modifications or finishing on your end. I test fit them on an original 60's tailpiece.  I do not guarantee fitment on reproduction parts.  

This listing is for a complete unit. Glued together and ready to install. I use pliobond 25 on the complete units and it works just fine. And looks and feels like the same stuff they used back in the 60's.

NEW OLD STOCK: (which is available in a separate listing) is stark white lettering. Looks exactly the way it would have in 1965. Or on the new reissues that just came out. (Gibson will not sell you a badge, fyi)

AGED: is yellowed and dirtied up a bit to accurately replicate a 50-60 year old part. If your Trini is heavily aged and you'd like a badge to match it, send me a picture and I will do a custom aged one to match at no additional cost. We do not do any wear or damage to aged badges unless specified by you. I don't generally see a lot of wear on originals so it's a bit of overkill to do too much to these.

These are the only reproduction badges being made.  Gibson will not sell you one.  Do not wait. These won't be around forever.
