Semi hollow Electric 10 string Mandocello (aka cittern) Conversion made from a new Cozart telecaster copy electric guitar. I like to call it the "telecello" Color: Natural gloss Tuning: CC GG DD AA EE scale length: 25.5" Nut width: 43mm
I installed my custom design bridge ( fully compensating for string height & intonation), Custom design nut, And Custom design bridge pickup ring. The strings used for the mandocello / cittern are: CC (0.062) - GG (0.042) - DD (0.026) - AA (0.16p) - EE (0.010). The strings are standard D’Addario ball end nickel wound and plain steel electric guitar.
This instrument is brand new, however, there is a mottled appearance to the wood which is under the poly finish. I, therefore, consider this a blemished instrument and it is priced accordingly.
PLEASE NOTE! This Instrument is a conversion made from a GUITAR. The neck will have a guitar type width, as I do NOT reduce the neck's width. So if you're accustomed to playing banjo, tenor guitar, mandolin, or any other stringed instrument with a narrower neck, this instrument will have a larger feel to your hand.
This is NOT an electric guitar. It is an electric mandocello. If you've ever priced a mandocello, then you know that they are exceedingly expensive due to their rarity. Electric mandocellos are even more rare than acoustics! And semi hollow electric 10 string mandocellos are extremely rare!
