This is a fantastic Gibson Firebird V, made in the USA in 1963. It has an incredible looking pelham blue refinish that was done quite a long time ago and is naturally aged with a great patina. The guitar was formerly owned by Pelle Almqvist, singer in The Hives. The guitar was stored in its case for a long time with a couple of t-shirts that seem to have reacted with the finish, mostly on the back of the neck near the headstock, and on the back of the body near the strap button, where some words actually sunk into the finish. There is no evidence of headstock breaks or repairs. There was some delamination of one of the body wings, which has been repaired. All parts are original. The guitar comes with all of The Hives merch that is in the case, as well as the original case.
