Why this price? I charge this amount because it is a fair price for a good compressor and the two year warranty means something. I have also taken extra pics of it plugged in on my test bench in pro tools.

This DBX 163X over easy compressor has been modified and upgraded. This little box has a big fat sound. You can compress mid to light and get that big low end punch or heavy compress and get tight nice concise sound from this unit. This thing is far from the original DBX 163X sound. Before the mod it had a tendency to really squash the life out of the sound. Now it sounds like a big ole 1176 compressor and it's easy and quick to use in the studio as well. I call it a no mess no fuss compressor. I also set the variable resistors so that compression would react great on all sources. I took this comp down to revamp the warranty policy I am offering a generous 2 year repair warranty on this compressor mod now.
I used a lot of high quality german caps same type they use in a lot of Neumann mics.
I Stand behind my work with a two year warranty. This is not a limited warranty. I will repair the unit for two years at no charge to you should anything happen to it.
Warranty paperwork will be included in the box with the unit.
