Junk Yard Dog 7 String
This is the very first Hound Dog model Ambler Customs has made in a 7 String version!
Using the finest woods and hardware, and then given the always popular Junk Yard Rusted Iron metal skin, this Dog is ready to rock.
As with all Ambler instruments, this guitar is completely hand made by John Ambler. Executed to be extremely playable and comfortable, this guitar is also totally versatile. The Bare Knuckle Crawler pickups are a uniquely voiced rock pickup, one of John Amblers favourite all time pickup sets. Very versatile for rock and metal music, but what many might not realise is that the Crawler set split really beautifully and give a unique Single Coil sound. This has been achieved through individual ‘push/push’ tone pots, giving multiple combinations between single and full humbucking outputs. Thanks to this load out the guitar is capable of beautiful glassy cleans and crunchy blues tones too.
This guitar is a real show stopper and commands attention.
Featuring a genuine corroded Iron metal skin. The metal is corroded with acid and salt water to get the desired effect, and then neutralised before being given a satin lacquer coating so it’s soft to the touch.
All hardware has been carefully aged by hand to match the corroded Iron.
The Junk Yard Dog comes with Hiscox hard case and certificate of authenticity.
