One of a kind early 70s 17.5” long scale Fender Mandocaster or tenor Ukulele neck.
This was apparently hand finished from a 70s Fender factory blank to have a longer 17.5” scale and the lovely inlay. It was originally paired with a factory mandocaster body with only one set of holes for the longer scale.
I do have photos of the original body that I can provide to the buyer. The previous owner chose to part it out.
The workmanship and finish are okay but definitely a hobbyist semi-pro job.
The neck thickness and feel is thick and good. I have never mounted or played the neck.
8.75” from the nut to the 12th fret - scale length of 17.5”! Tenor Ukulele scale!
Nut is 1.152” wide. Neck is .865” thick at the first fret. Heel is 1.66” wide. Heel is 1.015” thick.
Missing one of the inlays.
Single line Kluson Deluxe tuners are included! All four seem nice and tight.
