This is a clone of the op-amp Big Muff PI. Only made in 1978 it was the only Big Muff to use a an op-amp IC in place of the usual transistors used in all other Big Muffs. The op-amp Big Muff was used by the Smashing Pumpkins and Billy Corgan Siamese Dream.
This has a sound similar but distinct from the classic Big Muff circuit. The controls are the same as the classic Big Muff: Volume, Tone, and Sustain (labeled gain on this pedal.) This version also has tone Bypass switch that removes the tone stack from the circuit entirely. This option adds a raw edge to the sound.
