Selling my beloved, beautiful DeCava semi hollow guitar. This model was designed for, and toured and recorded with blues guitarist Debbie Davis. It can scream, but it also gives a great jazz tone, and everything in between. It's built like a true archtop; solid carved spruce top, solid carved figured maple back, and solid figured maple bent sides. Hollow inside, with a 335 style center tone block. Scale length is 25 3/8", ebony board. Neck is a very comfortable round C; somewhere between a thin Gibson 60's and LP 59'. 1.68" wide at nut. No F holes - no feedback, but sounds very open never-the-less. Hate to sell, but lightening up the flock. DeCava besides buiding for blues artists, also has made guitars for jazz great Mark Elf, who entrusted him to build a replica of his D'Aquisto, which is too valuable to take on the road - word has it he nailed it! Guitar sold for $6500 when new. This is a rare, exceptional guitar, but of course quite unfamiliar. I'm more than open to offers.
