Hofner Verithin 1962/3 - this Verythin was made in Germany in 1962/3 (Hofner records are somewhat unreliable so its difficult to be exact), and it is a lovely original Verithin with original Bigsby. I purchased it some time ago from the son of the original owner who bought it new and had only played it at home. It was always lovingly played and cared for.
It has a lovely red unmarked body with full binding to the body, neck, soundholes and headstock - a sign of quality - the neck is glued in and is in an unmarked condition, and it has a rosewood fingerboard containing 22 frets width full width double mother-of-pearl fret markers. The headstock has lovely mother-of-pearl inlays with original tuners, truss rod cover and the original nut.
The scratchplate is still there and has a ''Champion'' sparkplug sticker on it - it could be removed if required - there are two ''staple'' pickups with black surrounds and two volume and two tone controls - all original.
The body is undamaged apart from a small hole where a strap pin has been removed for some reason, but it could be repaired. It is in a superb condition and is fully working - its a good player and it comes in its original Selmer hardcase.
