Vintage 1982 Kramer Pacer Imperial. American made. Black with red "bent tube" graphics and Chrome hardware. Original Floyd Rose looks almost new even though it's 38 years old. Chrome Schaller tuners, 22 fret maple neck with rosewood fingerboard and chicken beak headstock. It has a full size neck plate with no serial number instead of the smaller one with the 'C' serial number like most 1982 Chicken beak Kramers. I found out that it was probably a custom order and was built as the customer specified. Originally it had Schaller humbucker pickups in it. I took out the Schaller humbuckers and installed EMGs.
I am happy to include the original Schallers with this purchase if the buyer requests. These EMG pickups 81 and 85 are wired for 18 volt with two 9 volt batteries instead of just 9 volts and one battery. Why?... 18 volts drives two 40 foot cables like a bulldozer and roars like Godzilla with super high headroom and clarity. It's incredible for live performance and touring, especially heavy rock and metal. It's definitely a guitar that has been modified for maximum power. I added modern stainless steel neck screws for super tight connection between body and neck. If 18 volts ends up being too much for you, just take one battery out and it's 9 volt again. It plays fantastically and is in great shape with only minor dings and slight scratches. It holds lower tunings like a boss as well. It is a sleek killer and a serious workhorse as well as being a vintage instrument in super fabulous condition. This guitar has obviously been modified for touring and is not in "all original" condition. Comes with gig bag. Buyer pays shipping.
