For sale is a rare find 2014 Guild GSR M85-II. There were only 25 of them made and this one is new in its original hard case. Still has the plastic on the pickups.
In the late 60s Guild made the BluesBird Bass M85-I bass that was a thick hollow body bass about the thickness of an acoustic guitar. In the early 70s they made the M85-II which was the same body shape but solid body and thinner like an electric guitar. This bass was made popular by Sherly Crow. Many liked the thinner body but felt the loss of tone from the hollow body and missed the Bisonic pickups from the previous models. Both of these are hard to come by these days especially in good shape. In 2014, Guild made this special run that combines the features of both into a great playing, light weight (under 7 pounds) short scale tone monster.
Any imperfections noted in the pictures are either glare, dust or polish swirls. This bass is new and has not been played other than a couple of test drives.
The price on these when they came out was $4499. Rare find and you could wait years to find another one. Don't miss out on this chance to capture this collectible gem.
