Up for sale is a wonderful Spanish-made classical guitar featuring a French-polished European Spruce top and lacquered East Indian Rosewood back and sides. This guitar is full of rich tone, with plump and punchy basses, thick and full-bodied trebles and a strong midrange that ties everything together tonally. You can expect a beautiful, full-range sound from this guitar. This guitar is no longer in production from the folks at Loriente, so here’s an opportunity to snag a very well-made Spanish guitar for a reasonable price.
Some notes on the condition of this guitar: - The neck profile has been professionally re-shaped by long-time Portland, Oregon luthier Kerry Char. Instead of a “D” profile all the way up and down the neck, Kerry carved the neck to start from a “C” profile in 1st position, and gradually shift toward the original “D” profile down at the heel. It’s been more ergonomic for cross-over playing from steel string guitar land. The guitar neck has a matte finish, most of the headstock has the original gloss finish. - There’s a 2in. scrape on the treble side of the neck from 3rd-4th fret. It’s where the neck meets the ebony fretboard. Not noticeable as you’re playing. - There’s a slight indentation on the back of the headstock between the D and G tuners where I kept a clamp-style capo. - French polish is in good condition and so is the lacquer on the back and sides. - Action is set up on the low side for more of a crossover feel under the fingers.
