This is a Pono Baritone Nui, or big baritone. It's a tenor guitar size instrument but braced for nylon strings to be tuned D-G-B-E. It's a larger body, longer scale baritone ukulele and it sounds incredible! It has guitar like sustain and harmonic overtones. Very responsive and beautiful in all ways, this example is the BN-20D SB. The spruce top's sunburst finish is beautiful. The instrument is in excellent condition cosmetically, and functionally, it’s perfect. It plays, sounds and looks great! This particular model is almost impossible to find, and while this baby has a few minor scuffs, it presents near mint. It has two strap buttons and is currently strung with Living Waters High Ds. The original hardshell case is included.
Pono only uses solid woods, only bone nut and saddle, wood bindings, and no plastics. They have a climate controlled factory on the island of Java and diligently aim for perfection on every level. It shows! Here are the specifications:
