What makes this guitar special? A legacy of Sci-Fi movies and the care given to the design of such a unique instrument makes this guitar special. It fits well in most travel situations, but could easily function as a full-fledged axe if need be, thanks to its high-output humbucker and great playability. It also has a built-in speaker, so you really can take it anywhere with the help of a single 9V battery. We would say more, but it’s pretty apparent how awesome this guitar is. It is absolutely perfect for a collector of Star Wars memorabilia, collector of guitars, those looking for a travel guitar, sci-fi enthusiasts, kids, or just kids at heart. Condition: This Fernandes Stormtrooper Nomad is in mint condition. It does have a few small, light surface scratches, but overall is super clean considering its age. The neck is good and straight. The frets do show very light fret wear, but still have a ton of life left in them.
Body: Unique travel size alder body guitar with a leg cut and Stormtrooper/Death Star graphic on top. Built in speaker.
Neck: Bolt-on maple neck with rosewood fretboard. 1-5/8” nut width. Chrome sealed tuning machines.
Electronics: High-output humbucker in the bridge. 1 on/off speaker switch, 1 volume control.
Weight: 6.30 lbs
Playability/Sound: Considering what it’s built for, the pickup sounds surprisingly good. The speaker gives you some old-fashion cigarette box tone, and provides enough volume to be heard in most travel situations. Our techs have set it up with great action so it will play as easily as it will travel.
