The Nakamichi CR-70, produced by Niro Nakamichi and released in Japan in 1989 during the Japanese “Golden Era” of high-fidelity audio equipment, is a very advanced and critically acclaimed cassette deck. As expected from Nakamichi, this deck boasts some impressive features, including Dolby B & C noise reduction and a 3-head (discrete) deck with a closed-loop dual-capstan drive, perfectly optimized and critically aligned in magnetic azimuth. The CR-70 features Nakamichi’s unique head alignment system, where the height, azimuth, and tilt can be adjusted independently for each head, while a test tape is running, allowing for the best high-frequency reproduction possible. The overall mechanism, featuring a brushless, coreless direct-drive motor and FG servo system, is silent and smooth. With all these (and more!) excellent features, as you would expect, playback of tapes with the CR-70 is amazing, and cassette fans widely recognize the Nakamichi name as synonymous with the utmost quality in the cassette world. This deck is wonderful and a collector’s item. Don’t pass it up!

This deck is in very good condition, with some signs of age and use (please see photos), including some scratches, marks, spots, and coloration on the sides. This player works perfectly and has been thoroughly checked and tested by our professional technician, confirming its flawless operation.
