Diese exquisite Gitarre ist extrem selten. Ich habe das von einem Kerl in Leicester gekauft. Sein Sohn war in einer Band, die in Südkorea ziemlich groß war (hätte nach ihrem Namen fragen sollen). Als sie dort auf Tour waren, machten sie eine Tour durch die Peerless-Fabrik und bekamen diese Gitarre geschenkt, bevor sie in Produktion ging. Das einzige Problem war, dass er es mit einem Bigsby haben wollte, also haben sie dort in der Fabrik einen eingebaut.

Toll. Da es sich um einen Prototyp handelt, ist keine Seriennummer aufgedruckt. Laut dem Kerl, den ich es abgekauft habe, gibt es nur 7 davon und dies ist das einzige, das mit einem Bigsby ausgestattet ist.

Also unglaublich selten. Diese basiert eindeutig auf einer Gibson 355, ähnelt aber klanglich eher einer Gretsch, da sie ähnliche Filter-Tron-Tonabnehmer hat. Es hat auch eine Tonwahl, die es von kristallklaren Höhen bis zu kehligen Growl-Lows bringt. Es ist unglaublich vielseitig.

Also, warum verkaufe ich es? Ich wollte sie als Feedback-Gitarre als Ersatz für meine nicht sehr gut spielbare Gretsch 6120. Irgendwie ist mir völlig entgangen, dass sie keine F-Löcher hat. Infolgedessen will es bei Schlafzimmerlautstärken einfach kein Feedback geben. Wenn ich F-Löcher hineinschneiden könnte, würde ich es behalten. Ich liebe diese Gitarre.

Sie können sehen, dass es in gutem Zustand ist. Es gibt ein paar Kratzer und Dinge, die ich fotografiert habe. Aber in Anbetracht seines Alters (ich würde vermuten, dass es in den frühen 2000er Jahren eingeführt wurde, dass es fast 20 Jahre alt ist) ist es in einem wirklich guten Zustand. Ein Teil der Hardware ist angelaufen, aber das ist mit dem Alter unvermeidlich. Ich habe das Original-Hardcase und das Original-Hardtail, wenn Sie den Bigsby nicht wollen. Die Clips am Gehäuse sind auf dem Weg nach draußen, aber es schließt immer noch. Sie müssen bald ersetzt werden.

Alles in allem ist dies eine Gelegenheit, eine umwerfend schöne und einzigartige Gitarre für weniger als die Hälfte des Preises einer ES-355 zu besitzen.

This exquisite guitar is extremely rare. I bought this off a chap in Leicester. His son was in a band who were quite big in South Korea (should’ve asked their name). When on tour out there, they did a tour of the Peerless factory and were gifted this guitar before it went into production. The only issue was he wanted it with a Bigsby, so they fitted one there in the factory. Amazing. As this is a prototype it has no serial number printed on it. According to the bloke I bought it off, there are only 7 of these in existence and this is the only with a Bigsby fitted. So it's incredibly rare.

This is clearly based on a Gibson 355 but is more similar in sound to a Gretsch as it has similar Filter-Tron pickups. It also has a tone dial which takes it from crystal highs to throaty growl lows. It's incredibly versatile.

So, why am I selling it? I wanted it as a feedback guitar to replace my not very playable Gretsch 6120. Somehow I completely failed to notice it has no F-holes. As a consequence it just doesn't want to feedback at bedroom volumes. If I could cut F-holes in it, I'd keep it. I love this guitar.

You can see that it's in good nick. There's a few scrapes and dings which I have photographed. But considering its age (I would guess given this was introduced in the early 2000s that this is nearly 20 years old) it's in really good condition. Some of the hardware has tarnished but that's inevitable with age. I have the original hardcase and the original hardtail if you don’t want the Bigsby. The clips on the case are on their way out but it still closes. They’ll need replacing soon.

All in all, this is a chance to own a stunningly beautiful and unique guitar for less than half the price of an ES-355.
