I can't believe I'm selling this, but it turns out that I'm a dedicated "335 player!"
You probably already know all this:
- Superlative quality woods and electronics
- Thick 3/4" curly maple cap
- Honduras ("real") mahogany 2-piece body and 1-piece neck
- CTS pots, oil-in-paper caps, punchy "50s" wiring
- 16" fingerboard radius
- TonePros bridge/tailpiece
- Matthew Larrivée hand-wound pickups
- Longer 25.5 inch "Fender" scale length for extra "snap!"
- Gibson Custom Shop quality at a fraction of the cost!
There is a small ding in the back, near the control cavity, the front is flawless! Also a screw-hole in the heel, where the previous owner had installed an alternate strap button
There is some fret-wear in the "cowboy chord" area, still 90% fret-life left.
RS-4s were amazing value for money new, even more so second hand. These get universal RAVE reviews, and deservedly so!
