This 1959 Guild Johnny Smith is owned by legendary rockabilly guitarist Brian Setzer
What a beautiful and rare guitar! There are some general scratches and scuffs on body of the guitar as well as the back of the neck. Some of the binding around the headstock shows its age. It appears to have some holes filled in on the bass side of the fretboard right where the fretboard meets the body. Not sure what used to be there. Another piece of metal is attached to the neck by the neck pickup and one of the screws is missing. There appears to be some sort of repair with glue at the heel of the neck on the back. Electronics still function. Has a vintage feel with the short frets. Very beautiful inlays.
