"Becky"
2020 Custom Jason Pickard
So, the last 6 months have been crazy for all of us, and one of the ways that we have kept our sanity is to build a couple of guitars using mostly just what's in the shop......hence the creation of a "Covidcaster"
While this guitar wasn't a super planned out project, the more we started looking around for parts and pieces, the more "Mojo" the guitar got! The body was some sort of finish experiment....we're not really sure what species of wood it is, but it's as least as light as pine....maybe lighter weighing only about 5lbs!!!
The neck is Roasted maple on maple, 25.5" scale warmoth "slim c" with a modern fret (which is probably a 6100)
The pickgaurd is imbuia (Brazilian walnut) and the control plate is flamed maple that we made in house.
The pickups were an experiment from Brian Porter that he did during Quarantine with a cool "paisley" laser etching on maple and the harness has a cool old Russian capacitor. The guitar absolutely rips!
Our standard "pine tele" sells for 1350-1700......and you can spec one out for that price, but since this guitar is sort of a "heinze 57" we're letting it go a little cheaper. But make no mistake, this guitar is pretty killer! Price does not include a case but we can put something together for you if you want a case.
