The Stagg SDM70 cardioid dynamic mic from Stagg would make a great multipurpose microphone for vocal and instrumental recording or performance use. Despite the amazing price, the mic is of great quality, featuring a zinc alloy case and DC18 moving coil cartridge. The mic has a balanced XLR connector and a lockable on/off switch.
