SALE SALE SALE!!! FROM FRANCE, CAFÉ AMÉRICAIN GYPSY JAZZ GUITAR
Welcome to the Classical-Workshop in beautiful Arizona. Thank you for taking time to look at this excellent handcrafted Gypsy Jazz guitar from the workshop of Café Américain.
This is the new absolutely beautiful Café Américain Renata, Grande Bouche (D-mouth,) solid Spruce topped guitar for the player that wants the workshop’s professional-line Django/Gypsy Jazz guitar. THIS IS THE LAST ONE WE HAVE OF THIS MODEL.
We have the guitar on sale as we are moving our operations back to France where we will do all our shipping. Therefore we will sell all our remaining stock here in America. Everything must go, everything, so all guitars are at a much reduced price AND THIS IS THE LAST WE HAVE OF THIS MODEL, to get one in future from France the cost will be $1,200 plus.
A little about Gypsy Jazz, it evolved in Europe in the 1930s when French Django Reinhardt, playing a Maccaferri/Selmer guitar in smoke-filled Paris clubs, combined his Gypsy playing style with the jazz of Louis Armstrong and Duke Ellington producing a wonderful and inventive new form of music, Gypsy Jazz; known in France as Jazz Manouche.
Today Jazz Manouche is a growing style of music, the tradition lives, and it is played worldwide.
A little about myself, I go to France two or three times a year, each spring I attend the Musikmesse in Frankfurt, Germany, (Europe’s largest music trade-show,) to meet guitar makers and see their instruments. Then, I am fortunate enough to travel Europe going to music festivals and guitar workshops looking for guitars.
Café Américain is a small workshop/company from the Correze that produces, by hand, a few hundred guitars a year, making excellent sounding guitars that are an absolute pleasure to play.
Their Renata model is a full size 670 mm scale guitar, with a deep 4 inch body, measuring 40.5 cm across the lower bout. It comes with the Grande Bouche 23 and 2 half-fret fretboard with a 14th fret neck-join at the body, this allows for both rhythm and aggressive lead playing. It's design is taken from the first French Maccaferri guitar.
Low easy action, driving sound, with the cutting tone you would expect from a Gypsy Jazz guitar with a solid European Spruce top. The sound absolutely booms from this guitar. With its excellent tone and volume the guitar is for the player who wants to play Swing or Jazz Manouche.
The soundboard is solid Spruce (high quality wood from Switzerland with its D-mouth gives this guitar a big sound,) and the back and sides are Indian Rosewood (which accounts for the excellent full rounded tone.) Drive this guitar and you will get a big sound or pull back and it will respond with a mellow tone.
The fret-board, floating mustache-bridge, and fret-head are made of Rosewood. It has a felt-padded brass tail-piece and is strung with D'Addario Gypsy-Jazz strings. The guitar is trimmed in beautiful tortoise shell binding. It comes with a strong rigid foam case with the workshop logo, a great case, plus I will include sheets of Gypsy Jazz music both in TAB and standard notation
MRSP in the US, with hard-foam rigid case, is $1,395.00, but we have it on sale as we must sell everything before we move back to France. So this guitar is ON SALE FOR $821, or make us a reasonable close offer.
